Eagle Rock Brewery Opens House to Bikers

Eagle Rock Brewery is opening its shiny new doors to bike riders next Saturday for a tour and (motorists beware) five-dollar pints. Organized by Flying Pigeon Bike Shop, the trip includes a cycling tour from Cypress Park through Glassell Park, where the brewery actually resides despite its name.

The Brewery’s beers, bearing slightly Soviet titles like “Revolution” and “Manifesto”, are going to be appearing in stores soon and are currently carried from The York and Verdugo Bar in North East L.A. to Fifth Amendment Alehouse and La Grande Orange in Santa Monica. The tour is free, though bike rentals will be available for ten dollars in limited supply. Kids will be accommodated for parents who want to tap into the brewery’s suds but can’t find a babysitter. Remember that 20% of the proceeds from drinking Revolution XPA in the taproom goes to help Haiti. Details are online and the adventure starts on February 6th at 1:45 P.M. at Flying Pigeon, 3714 N. Figueroa St. Cypress Park.
