Nobody is claiming that eating like Paula Deen is healthy for anyone (though her sons seem to have grown up okay), but now a doctors’ groupPETA front called the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine has called out Paula Deen’s Kitchen Classics and Grilling for Life by Bobby Flay as two of the worst cookbooks of the decade for those who plan to live long and healthy lives. Instead of Paula and Bobby, the organization recommends such vegetable-rich tomes as The Kind Diet by vegan actress Alicia Silverstone, and another book whose title makes us wince: Skinny Bitch in the Kitch: Kick-Ass Recipes for Hungry Girls Who Want to Stop Cooking Crap. We’ll stick to our artery-hardening hedonism, thanks.
