Delayed Barbacco to Open Shortly, Complete With Liquor License

So, that December 15th opening date we mentioned for wine bar Barbacco clearly got pushed due to the whole no-liquor-license issue. It’s now on track to debut within a few weeks according to Tablehopper, serving 100 wines by the glass selected by wine director Mauro Cirilli. The food menu, which will include items like ascolane (fried olives stuffed with pork), and Sicilian meatballs with braised chard, was co-created by chef-owner Staffan Terje and chef Sarah Burchard (formerly of Perbacco).

CORRECTION: It turns out they don’t yet have the liquor license, and they will only be open for lunch, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting Monday, January 11th, until the license arrives.
