Boqueria Reopens in Flatiron, But Down a Chef De Cuisine

By

Curious fact: While closed for renovations (it reopens tonight at 5 p.m.), Boquerias Flatiron location has put out a Craigslist ad in hopes of finding a new chef de cuisine. A rep assures us the job slot has nothing to do with the restaurants three-day closure. The Chef de Cuisine decided to leave to pursue other opportunities and Seamus and crew are looking for someone to fill the position. Eager chefs interested in Spanish cuisine are welcome to apply! Also hiring sous-chefs and higher are the Breslin, Soho House, Les Halles, the Momofuku group, Jean-Georgess new Upper East Side restaurant, and (weee!) the Big Apple Circus. And while were on the subject, heres something interesting about a Pulinos job listing: Keith McNally and Nate Applemans restaurant-pizzeria is said to be opening this month. With the plywood still up (and Appleman making gerbil-stuffing jokes on Twitter), its hard to believe that will be the case, but regardless, it may be time for the blogs to commence their Minetta Tavernstyle daily stalking.
