Competition for placement in a national pizza listicle has got to be stiff, so the eleven pizzerias named in Travel and Leisure’s list of “America’s Best Pizza” deserve to be mighty proud. Among them are four in NYC (Joe’s, Co., Di Fara, and Motorino, which now delivers), two in Chicago (Burt’s Place and Great Lake, which GQ crowned the country’s best), Antica Pizzeria in L.A., and one of the superstars of the San Francisco food scene this year, Flour + Water. We feel like this thing probably could have been thirty names long and still not been definitive, but anyway, see the full list below.

In no particular order:

• Great Lake, Chicago
• Burt’s Place, Chicago

• Co., Manhattan
• Joe’s, Manhattan
• Di Fara, Brooklyn
• Motorino, Brooklyn and Manhattan

• Flour + Water, San Francisco

• Antica Pizzeria, Marina del Rey

• Sosta, Miami
• Piecasso, Stowe VT
• Liberty Tavern, Arlington VA
