Philly is famous for its local foods, but are we suddenly a hub for artists whose medium is food? First, we have Hawk Krall, hot dog portraitist. Now another Philly-based artist, Mike Geno - whose food-inspired still-life paintings feature everything from pickled herrings to peppadews - is making his meaty mark in the genre. Geno has taken his bacon obsession to new heights with a line of pork product holiday postcards. The cards, which feature a Christmas tree entombed in bacon, read “May Your Holidays Be Wrapped Up in Goodness” and are $5 for a five-pack.
