If you’re near Maialino in the morning, Danny Meyer’s Italian project is now serving breakfast. Official service begins on Monday, but you can try out the meal during a soft-open this weekend. “Prima Colazione” breakfast dishes are by Nick Anderer, pastries by Jennifer Shelbo, and the coffee is Four Barrel from San Francisco. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7 to 10 a.m. in the trattoria (full breakfast); 7 to 11 a.m. in the bar (coffee and pastry only), and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the trattoria (brunch); 8 to 11 a.m. in the bar (coffee and pastry).
