1330 Boylston, a mixed-use building in the Fenway, is getting a pair of new restaurants, reports Boston Restaurant Talk. Basho, a Japanese spot from the owners of Douzo, will open this spring and offer sushi, grilled food, a raw bar, and a lounge. Basho means “the place to be” in Japanese, and for Sox fans craving something beyond burgers, pizza, or Mexican food, it could become just that.

The second opening is a little more mysterious. The Citizen: An American Gastropub filed a license to open in the building on November 24, according to EveryBlock. No other details seem to be available, and Fenway Triangle spokesperson Diana Pisciotta declined to give any details other than the fact that the restaurateur is male, but there’s no doubt that a gastropub would be a boon to those just too lazy to walk over to Church.
