Bar Bouchon, the restaurant’s first foray into nightlife, opens this Friday night below Bouchon. It sounds like the space, which will fit 46 in total, has come some distance after we saw it last month. It now has a terrace where the eleven people not sitting at the bar will have to fit. The theme here, naturally, is still a traditional French wine bar and will serve small plates (salads, sandwiches, cheese, charcuterie, tartines, caviar, desserts) to go with a large selection of wines by the bottle or glass and fine beers. Oh, and we were promised there would be escargots Bouguignonnes too, so you can chase your Sancerre with a forkful of snail. 235 N Canon Drive, Beverly Hills.
