World Fare Plans A Double Decker Food Bus With Chef Andi Van Willigan

Food trucks are so 2009. 2010 brings plans for World Fare, a food vending vehicle housed in a double-decker British bus. The bus will have a full kitchen on its bottom floor and an open roof area that can seat about 18 people or provide standing room for more. Owner Travis Schmidt is planning an internationally-inspired menu and has brought Andi Van Willigan on board. Van Willigan is a corporate executive sous chef for the Michael Mina Group who has also appeared as Gordon Ramsay’s sous chef on Hell’s Kitchen. We’re told a possible recipe could be short rib bunny chow, a take on the South African favorite using every food truck’s preferred pork product. The bus is currently in its design stage and hopes to roll out on January 15th. More details to come, until then follow World Fare on Twitter.
