What to Eat at Bistro du Midi, Opening Tonight on the Common

Bistro du Midi is opening tonight in the former home of Excelsior. and we’ve got a first look at the completed menu. Executive chef Robert Sisca is a former sous chef at New York temple to fish Le Bernardin, so it’s no surprise that Bistro du Midi’s menu tends heavily toward fish, with dishes like roasted monkfish with shallot, thyme, and capers, pan-fried halibut, and a classic bouillabaisse. The Provençal menu also has plenty to offer those who prefer meat, like rabbit rillette and seared venison tenderloin. Entree prices are firmly in the $20s, with a less expensive bar menu also available. In the summer, Bistro du Midi will offer an outdoor patio overlooking the Common.
