Recession Is Your Friend

Wash West Tria Launching a Weekday Happy Hour

Beer-wine-cheese cafe Tria has long offered a delightful Sunday drinks (and cheese) deal - Sunday School - but has famously shied away from a weekday happy hour, until now. Starting Monday, November 30, the Washington Square West location of Tria will debut a “5 for 5, 5 to 7” happy hour. Read on for the details.

From Tria owner Jon Myerow:

We’ve always wondered why “happy hour” usually translates to “cheap, bland, soulless drinks – only cheaper.” What’s so happy about that? So we’ve decided to do happy hour, Tria style. Announcing the best news for your wallet since Sunday School: 5 for 5, 5 to 7

• 5 great tastes (red wine, white wine, two beers and a cheese plate) for $5 each
• Every Monday through Thursday, 5 - 7 pm, starting Monday, November 30
• Tria Washington Square West

We’re talking about wines with character, beer geek-worthy brews and world-class cheeses. Just hand over a Lincoln and some change for the taxman and enjoy the good stuff. Now that’s something to be happy about.

It’s not available at the Rittenhouse location. Added bonus: there’s heated outdoor seating at the Wash West location.
