Non-Tippers Won’t Be Prosecuted in Court of Law; Everyone Will Be Prosecuted in Court of Yelp

The college kids in Bethlehem, PA who were arrested for refusing to pay a mandatory gratuity at the Lehigh Pub, won’t be prosecuted for stiffing the server, according to the Lehigh Valley Express-Times. The district attorney told the paper, “It’s not worth prosecuting. Gratuities are generally volunteer payments.” The legal battle is over, but the internet battle rages on! The People of Bethlehem have taken their outrage over the tipping issue to the Lehigh Pub’s Yelp page, peppering it with single stars and slinging Yelpy vitriol in all directions - at the bar for lousy service, at the tip system for being unfair and at Yelp itself for moderating and removing reviews.
