Logan Square’s New Place to Eat and Drink (and Sleep)

The last thing we remember before falling into the gluttonous montage of our long holiday weekend was getting an email from the folks at Empty Bottle teasing a new project they’re working on for Logan Square (with design assists coming from the carpentry team who worked on Publican, Violet Hour, and Big Star). The Empty Bottlers promise “a project that reworks and updates the traditional Chicago inn concept,” and it looks like they’re taking the “inn” part literally: they promise use food and drink, of course, but also — and here they’ve got our attention — “sleeping options.”

This could go a number of ways: it could, of course, be a straight-up hotel with a restaurant attached, but we’re thinking it’s more likely to go the other way, with a dining room that just happens to have a few plush bedrooms upstairs. In any case it means that if you do overindulge in whatever it is they’re serving, you’ll have somewhere to sack out that’s more comfortable than the back seat of a cab.
