Fork in the Road reports that during last nights meeting of Community Board 3s licensing committee, the guys from Freemans got the stamp of approval for what theyre calling a classic American diner in the old Kelley & Ping space on the Bowery (most recently used for Marco Pierre Whites Chopping Block). Therell be a 38-foot counter on the first floor and a 19-foot bar on the second. Also given CB3s initial blessing: Grand Park, the project Jesse Hartman is bringing to the former Isabellas Oven. The Lo-Down also has coverage of the meeting.
