Momofuku’s new restaurant in the Chambers Hotel, Má Pêche, has been serving a limited menu on the mezzanine for a day now. Amid the tweets about 30-minute waits and food running out, and the blog posts showing photos of the bánh mì and not much else, there’ve been a couple of nice write-ups. Midtown Lunch and lunchmate the Wandering Eater are instant fans (Midtown Lunch writes of the aforementioned sandwich “Tie this sandwich to the back of a cab, and you would have seen me running down Fifth Avenue in the rain today”). But Oyster Blog points to one con: It’s “packed with bloggers (like us) playing with their smartphones.”
