City Wants to Make a Federal Case Out of Tavern

The latest in the Tavern on the Green fiasco? The city now wants to take the LeRoys to federal court, since it says the debate over who gets to keep the name doesn’t fall under the jurisdiction of the district bankruptcy court that is currently considering it. Meanwhile, in more fun trademark-lawsuit news, courtesy of Scripps: A Minnesota burger joint has seemingly succeeded, in a settlement, in getting McDonald’s to stop using the motto they copyrighted (“Who’s Your Patty?”) to market its Angus burgers. Go mom-and-pop!
