Today marks the annual occasion that encourages wine drinkers to celebrate the release of the first Beaujolais Nouveau of the year. While it’s kind of an industry-driven “holiday” in the style of those masterminded by Hallmark, it is also a great excuse to enjoy some good Gamay grape juice. We say skip the snooty spots to hang out at Bacaro, the populist wine bar with cheap eats on Union. Tonight, and all night, they are serving Dupeuble’s Beaujolais Nouveau for only four dollars a glass.
