On Sunday November 8th, Great Chefs of Los Angeles 2009 will be held at CBS Studio Center, celebrating our city’s top toques and raising money for The National Kidney Foundation. The event will be hosted by George Lopez and bring together a group of our area’s top culinary artists, like Govind Armstrong of 8 Oz., Celestino Drago, Josie LeBalch of Josie, Steven Fretz of XIV, Jorge Chicas of The Bazaar, and many more, to cook tasting samples beside participating wineries. Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, plus Neal Fraser of Grace, will be chefs of honor at this event that emphasizes green and organic methods. Tickets start at $150, but Grub Street L.A. is giving two away for free!
While entering our contest costs nothing, we will require a small amount of labor to put you in the running. Contest rules: Tell us, in 50 words or less, who you think is the greatest chef in L.A. and more importantly, why you think so. Email your answer to us, with a limit to one entry per person. The best answer, as determined by our editors, will win the two tickets, valued at $300. The deadline to get your stories in is Next Tuesday, November 3rd at 5:00 p.m.
Good luck to all!
