For those wanting a little bit of al fresco Eastern Europe right in the middle of Lincoln Square, the reopening of Delicatessen Meyer will be welcomed with open arms. Being reborn as Gene’s Sausage Shop at Delicatessen Meyer (a nod to Gene’s Sausage Shop, which bought and is reopening Meyer’s), the nearly 100 varieties of meat will be supplemented by pierogies, stuffed cabbage — and a roofdeck, scheduled for a spring 2010 opening, where patrons can drink the imported beer, wine, or liquor of their choice and nosh on the sausage shop’s fruits.
