Always timely, Rush Street’s Culver City space is morphing by moonlight into the Thriller video set for a huge Halloween party. Though we doubt their execution can be as spot-on as the Philippines prison Thriller, Rush is putting lots of details into place to get close.
The horror begins on their patio, which is being turned into a spooky graveyard, we pray with a Vincent Price voice-over announcing arrivals. You start to scream, but end up in their lounge, which will be converted into a house of horrors (hopefully no fake monsters get decked once the “bloody red beer” flows). Since Halloween brings out more devils than angels, Rush St. is polishing their stripper pole, putting the trick back into “trick or treat” with today’s incarnation of the mechanical bull. The entire staff will be costumed and suggests you be too, to win prizes, or just to get away with hanging on the pole for a minute without being recognized.
