The Vanderbilt is scheduled to open next weekend, but Rob Patronite and Robin Raisfeld have an opening report and the menu today. Smith Street pioneer Saul Bolton’s new place is in Prospect Heights, and boasts smaller plates and cheaper food: "There is a smoker on the premises, and an array of charcuterie, from blood sausage with avocado and pork rinds to jagerwurst with German potato salad."
