Jean-Luc Naret, the face of the newly updated Michelin guide, is in town tomorrow to defend its relevancy to New Yorkers. Or, as the event information reads, to “lead a lively panel discussion and debate regarding the role of the restaurant critic and the New York City dining scene.” And a lively discussion it will be, given that it will bring together Danny Meyer (whose Eleven Madison Park just got its first and only star), Jean-Georges Vongerichten (whose JoJo just got stripped of its star), New York Wine & Food Festival founder Lee Schrager, Food & Wine editor Kate Krader, and the one-and-only Mimi Sheraton. Mike Colameco will moderate. The event is free and will take place at Borders in the Time Warner Center at 6:30 p.m.
