Katie Lee released her cookbook The Comfort Table: Recipes for Everyday Occasions last night at Hill Country, and the restaurant’s new chicken outpost wasn’t the only poultry on her mind. “My absolute favorite [recipe] is fried chicken, because that’s my favorite thing to eat,” she told us. If she’s not cooking her own, Lee’s favorite fried-chicken joint du jour is Momofuku. “It’s just a really different way of eating fried chicken. I prefer their Korean style. I think its triple fried and the sauce is so good.” Considering that Ms. Lee won last year’s Burger Bash with a patty melt (!), we are not at all surprised that she prefers Korean to Southern-fried chicken.
