For the Caltrain-weary, The Iron Cactus opened today near the rail depot, providing commuters and deep SoMa workers with a new option for burrito sustenance. SFoodie’s John Birdsall checked out the opening day madness and deems it “solid eating, nothing we haven’t scarfed before, hunched over, at Pancho Villa, site of the chef’s last gig.” But unlike Pancho Villa, you can get wine and draft beers, and they even have a happy hour to increase your chances of dozing away that long trip down the Peninsula.
