Chef Eric Greenspan’s The Foundry will host The James Beard Foundation’s L.A. Chef Invitational on October 19th, already helping place his forced egress from The Next Iron Chef into the past. A $200 per person dinner will stretch over four hours, with five chefs contributing dishes, like Walter Manzke of Church & State, Zoe Nathan of Rustic Canyon and Huckleberry, Jason Neroni of Solana Beach, heavily batted-around Doug Psaltis of NY, and Greenspan himself. Varnish’s star mixologist Eric Alperin will join forces with The Foundry’s Dan Bayha, and a few other cocktail shakers, to serve drinks. Naturally, after the show is the after-party, which will stretch until 1 a.m. and is open to the public for more food, booze, and jazz for $75.
