Dessert Truck Finds Permanent Parking Space on Lower East Side

After getting kicked to the curb (or rather, from the curb) by the city, the Dessert Truck finally has a brick-and-mortar home. It’ll take over the shuttered Luxee space on the Lower East Side. Here’s Jerome Chang’s official word.

We would like to announce our upcoming move to 6 Clinton Street (LES) where we’ll be opening up shop sometime within the next few months. We cannot give an opening date because the lease has just been signed. And no, the project will not be called “DessertTruck Stop.” The name is TBD. This next DessertTruck project will remain true to our ideals of quality, affordability and accessibility. We will feature our DessertTruck menu along with plenty of new items. We’d also like to thank everyone for their enthusiastic support.

Great news, though we still miss the spontaneity of sidewalk chocolate bread pudding with bacon anglaise.
