BLT Steak Barbecues on Sunset Strip Patio

Photo: BLT Steak

Hanging out on Sunset Strip patios normally makes us feel a little too wanna-be Entourage for comfort. Somehow, BLT Steak makes the experience transcendent, ditching attempts to please Seth Green and posse for a wide sweep of Roman columns, charming wooden chairs, and Pismo Beach-style umbrellas. The expanse adds rare magic to evenings spent watching pretty people head to Saddle Ranch or wherever they go to swap viruses these days.

Tonight, Laurent Toroundel’s WeHo outpost will put the space to good use with an old fashioned cookout, to repeat every Thursday. The BLT crew will grill lemon-rosemary chicken, beef brisket, burgers, and smoked baby backs, while $35 buys you a plate with two meats, two sides, a small chopped salad, and dessert from a selection of blueberry pie, peach cobbler, or that strawberry sundae we recently tempted you with. No reservations are needed; just like a BBQ in the park, it’s first come, first-served.
