7-Eleven Punished for Not Selling Booze

Well, this is a first. The Oak Square 7-Eleven was recently cited for not selling alcohol, reports the Allston-Brighton TAB. Though the store held an active malt liquor and wine license, it had discontinued the sale of alcohol and was slapped with a violation for doing so. Neither the Boston Licensing Board nor the management of the 7-Eleven in question could not be reached for comment, but this seems a trifle bizarre, since Boston usually leans strongly in the direction of punishing stores for selling alcohol. Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t, apparently.
