The lease for Great Lake, the tiny Andersonville pizza shop that’s been called the best in America, is up in about a year and a half, the Trib reports. But owners Lydia Esparza and Nick Lessins are so put off by the skepticism and impatience that their fame has engendered in their customers (in some cases, the wait for a pizza can run to four hours) that they aren’t sure they’re going to renew: “We have a lot of happy customers, but we get a lot of customers who are disappointing to us … I think you get beaten up one too many times and you grow defensive and protective. We wonder if Chicago is the right city.” [Tribune]
