The view from the Carnelian Room

This morning’s paper brought some very sad news: The Carnelian Room, which has graced the top of the old Bank of America Center at 555 California St. for almost 40 years, is going to close at the end of this year. According to Scoop, the matter comes down to — what else? — nobody spending any money any more. Fortunately, there’s a few months left to enjoy the view there. To that end, we’d like to start putting together a bit of a memorial to the place by collecting your photos of that incomparable view. If you have those in your album, computer, or even better, your Flickr stream, please post them on the Grub Street SF Flickr Pool. We’ll run a commemorative slideshow sometime in December to see the old girl off.
