Piattini will soon get a sister cafe next door. Owner Josephine Megwa tells Grub Street that Piattini Cafe will be Boston’s first restaurant to feature gelato from Philadelphia’s acclaimed Capogiro. Piattini Cafe will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week and will offer, in addition to the gelato, baked goods, pressed sandwiches, wine, and beer. The cafe is shooting for a late September opening — expect a menu here soon.
