Politically connected restaurateur Gus Murad is now just a little less connected after resigning from the city’s Small Business Commission. The owner of Medjool, who has been in a feud with the planning commission over an illegal rooftop bar since last February, wrote in his resignation letter that he was leaving the commission to “focus on operating my small businesses in the Mission District.” [SF Examiner]
