MADCrush Returns to Columbus Circle for an Encore Performance, à la Français

This summer’s five-week pop-up wine bar at the Museum of Arts and Design was such a smashing success, luring a new generation of art and wine lovers alike, that the institution has decided to lug designer Stephanie Goto’s repurposed cardboard boxes out of storage for an encore engagement tomorrow night. This time, Bar Boulud’s Damian Sansonetti is the guest chef, and he’ll be stationed at one cardboard counter, serving such elegant morsels as paprika-dusted pork rinds and gougères with housemade pastrami. Across the room, Crush Wine & Spirits will stock its makeshift bar with exclusively French wines, including such food-friendly grapes as Gamay, Chenin Blanc, and Savagnin. For a splurge, Krug Grande Cuvée will go for $21 a (disposable) glass (2 Columbus Cir., at 59th St., seventh fl., 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.). See the menu, below.
