Jonathan Gold Plans to Update Counter Intelligence

Jonathan Gold reportedly told a Downtown crowd on Saturday that he plans to update his book, Counter Intelligence, the cheap eats bible that defined the majesty of L.A.’s imported kitchens back in 2000. Eating L.A. was on the scene as Gold fingered about 25 of his favorite places to eat in the San Gabriel Valley at a Culinary Historians lecture, but more importantly, announced plans to revisit his classic guide and ease our paper cuts with a sorely-needed neighborhood index. While we anxiously await the next thrilling summary on the state of our cheap eats scene, we only hope the great Mr. Gold gets to this project before all those fried pig parts get to him.
