One of the perks of living in a particular area of Lincoln Park is domestic proximity to Alinea — with those inviting kitchen windows, what neighbor could resist a peek inside? One of the restaurant’s new neighbors is trying to game how to befriend Grant Achatz, Dave Beran, and the rest of the kitchen crew: “It’s juvenile, I know, but I am such a fan of their “work” and would love to get to know them over the next few years!” Suggestions so far include tempting the kitchen with homemade pulled pork, becoming a drug dealer, and (this is bank-account dependent) becoming a restaurant regular and sending hearty compliments to the chef.
