Where to Eat With Your Baby

Hungry Mother, Scampo, and La Voile are singled out as baby-friendly restaurants in today’s Globe. It’s a nice reminder that having tiny ones doesn’t have to mean going into dining exile or only eating at restaurants with chicken nuggets on the menu. Below, a few more baby-friendly dining options.

Aura chef Rachel Klein is the mother of a toddler herself, so its no surprise that her restaurant is accommodating to children. Every Friday night from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Aura offers “Fine Dining Family Style” with baby purees for the kids and a $30 three-course meal for the parents.

• Amy Traverso, former Boston Magazine food editor and mom of fifteen-month-old Max, tells us “Toro is really good, partly because Ken [Oringer] had a baby last year. He intends it to be a place where you could bring a kid if you need to. No surprise here, but Summer Shack really knows what they’re doing, especially in Cambridge. There’s plenty of entertainment with the lobster tanks. Myers + Chang is actively kid-friendly.”

• Traverso also recommends any restaurant in a hotel, “because if the baby starts to fuss, you have somewhere to let them crawl around.”
