What To Eat At Nightwood’s Brunch, Launching Sunday

Waffles come to Pilsen: Nightwood launches their brunch service this weekend, per our pals at TOC. Like the restaurant’s dinner menu, the plan is for the dishes on offer to change daily (er, weekly — brunch is Sunday only, from 9am-2:30pm), with dishes like sweet corn and duck confit crepes with potato and poblano hash and a poached egg, ricotta griddle cakes with peaches and candied oats, or (be still our heart) fried chicken and waffles with the unholy combination of strawberry jam, poached eggs and whipped cream. Unlike dinner service, Nightwood won’t be taking reservations for brunch: the owners want to keep things open to the neighborhood, so Sunday mornings are walk-in only. [TOC]
