And while we’re on the topic of ethical eating, now that we’ve had a chance to read it, we might as well again mention Michael Pollan’s epic, self-indulgent, and intermittently persuasive essay on the end of cooking from this past Sunday’s New York Times Magazine. Seems the ritual of cooking has all but vanished, save for the increasing amount of time we spend defrosting, microwaving, and waiting for delivery (and grilling, but that’s just on weekends).
