For a round of edible updates from Noe Valley, we turn to the blog Noe Valley SF, which has some tidbits from a couple of fronts. First, we hear the long-anticipated neighborhood Whole Foods has set an opening date for the first week in October, and has, as of yesterday, stopped hosting the Noe Valley Farmers’ Market in its parking lot. Meanwhile Deep, the new Izakaya project from Plouf and Des Amis vet Thomas Weibull (as noted in the Tablehopper this week), is in soft opening mode as of tonight, aiming for an official opening date of Sept. 16. Neighbors can stop by the old Deep Sushi space at 1740 Church St. to see what’s going on, but they request you make a reservation if you want to do so. Meanwhile, Noe Valley Pizza is already a construction site as La Boulange wastes no time moving in. RIP.
