Lower East Side to Get Drunker

Just in time to accommodate the droves of underage freshman girls, a bevy of Lower East Side restaurants are applying for full liquor licenses. That is, if they get past the notoriously dour CB3. A list of supplicants just out from the Lo-Down includes no fewer than ten new ventures requesting permission to serve the hard stuff. Familiar faces: Kampuchea Noodle Bar, Allen & Delancey, Bowery Electric. Newcomers: Le Cubain, Señor Izqueirda (in the former Père Pinard space), and the mysteriously named Silkstone One LLC. Residents, put in your earplugs. Frosh, get your fake I.D.’s ready.
