Lomo Saltado

Now that banh mi is hoo-riding through our streets, we’re switching the gears of our food truck obsession to the forthcoming Lomo Arigato truck, who have a brilliant name that we still have to beef with for getting that Styx song stuck in our heads. The truck plans to sell lomo saltado, a traditional Peruvian staple of a steak cut with roasted vegetables and thick-cut fries (the truck will use tri-tip), in addition to other quick bites from the Japanese migration to Peru. L.A.’s foodie town cryer MyLastBite tells us via Twitter that this truck will be turning the corner soon, and Lomo’s own Twitter seems to indicate it could be on some practice runs. Has anyone tried Lomo Arigato yet?
