A Mini-Mall Of Culinary Options At MetraMart

Construction continues apace for the opening of the MetraMarket, the massive retail complex that’ll open in the Ogilvie Transporation Center. Alongside the CVS and other urban inevitabilities, the centerpiece will be the French Market, a multi-seller indoor marketplace overseen by the Bensidoun family (who also run Lincoln Park’s French Market, among other similar concepts). Yesterday Time Out Chicago noted that among the French Market’s occupants would be Pastoral, Vanille Patisserie and Flip Crepes. To that list we now add more familiar names: Albano’s Deli, an outlet of Wisconsin Cheese Mart, a mini-grocery called Chicago Organics, and Completely Nuts. Add to the mix stalls from Fraternite Notre Dame bakery, charitable bakery Sweet Miss Givings, and Canady le Chocolatier, (plus Vanille, as reported) and there’ll be no shortage of sugar highs for commuters when this baby opens.
