The Butcher Shop will live up to its name when it hosts butchery workshops this Saturday at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Drop in and learn some of the tricks involved in breaking down and cooking veal before noshing on samples. Bonus: you’ll get to sound ahead of the curve this fall when your friends talk about the new book from Julie Powell (the Julie in Julie & Julia), which delves into her dalliance with the art of meat.
