It seems we may be gaining a new pizza master just days after losing Nate Appleman. Grub Street New York points out a Diner’s Journal post confirming that city’s top-rated Una Pizza Napoletana has closed and owner Anthony Mangieri is reported to be heading for the West Coast, “probably San Francisco.” Brooklyn hot spot Motorino will be moving into the Una Pizza space, and it just so happens that Nate Appleman is looking for work and seems to be getting friendly with the Motorino folks. Here’s hoping Mangieri gets work at A16, for synchronicity’s sake.
