The troubles continue for Govind Armstrong: The Miami Herald reports that Table 8’s South Beach location has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, which means the restaurant will be liquidating all assets, stat. With it goes the Ocean Drive location of 8 Oz. Burger Bar — both were inside the Z Ocean Hotel — although the other 8 Oz. Burger Bar on Miami Beach appears to be unaffected. The status of LA’s Table 8 reincarnation is still unclear; now Armstrong has only the New York branch of his flagship restaurant, and the critics haven’t been too enthusiastic.
