Stuff’s Hot 100 Admits its Bias

Unlike certain other Boston-based best-of lists, the Stuff Hot 100 is happy to admit that they’re glad to include freebies. From the writeup for Pollo Campero, winner of this year’s “Hot Breasts” (eep) award: “We were completely bribed into throwing Pollo Campero on the Hot 100 list at the last minute. In fact, we had no choice in the matter. Days before publication, the new Chelsea chicken joint dropped off a smorgasbord for tasting — complete with fried and roasted birds, coleslaw, rice, beans, plantains, chips, and guacamole. Within minutes, the food was ransacked by a horde of ravenous ad reps and reporters making such orgasmic claims as ‘My God — the roasted chicken is as good as the fried wings!’ The rest of the list isn’t as interesting, though it does contain one notable inaccuracy: despite what you may have read in “Hot Foodie Adventure”, you cannot get pizza by the slice at Santarpio’s Pizza. The full list, complete with “Hot Eggs,” “Hot Letter,” and “Hot Water” (ha!) is below.
