Mr. Chow’s Menu … Revealed!

Last week, Michael “Mr. Chow” Chow made clear his intentions to sue Philippe Chow restaurant over their copycat menu, concept, and name. Philippe’s menu is widely available online (here’s our copy), but what of Mr. Chow’s? It’s a rarely seen document in the restaurant and an even rarer, we dare say heretofore nonexistent, doc on the web. But no longer! At a moment of weakness, Eva Chow passed it to us last week in Beverly Hills, and now we’ve got the illustrious family-style menu. They’re now laminated, but the original menus were printed on a poured handmade paper, according to Mr. Chow, once available to a very small number of people, which included himself and the Queen of England. And do pay particular attention to the spectacular if epicuriously vague captions on classic Chow dishes like the Mr. Chow Noodles: “The classic handmade Beijing noodles Mr Chow introduced to the West in 1968.”
