Will Taxim Open For Breakfast and Lunch on Monday?

Taxim has been threatening to open for lunch for weeks now, but for various reasons here and there hasn’t actually gotten around to unlocking the doors before dinner time. But we’re feeling pretty confident about the latest news: They’ll be opening for daytime service starting Monday, serving a quick-serve cafe menu from 7 a.m. through dinner time. Besides a full coffee bar and pastries, the kitchen will offer up Greek yogurt with an add-in bar (everything from nuts and fruits to preserved rose petals); and small mezethes like rampopita (phyllo filled with ramps, green garlic, dill, and goat feta), or the restaurant’s hummus-like revithia, a puree of chickpeas, garlic, and lemon. As far as we know, all things are go for a Monday launch. Could this finally be it?
