Standard Grill Shifts Into Friends-and-Family Mode

We don’t want to get all pervy voyeur on you, but what you see at right is a peek into the still-papered-over windows of the Standard Grill, as the Standard Hotel’s restaurant is now being called (looks like Balazs decided not to name it after the kids after all). Yes, that’s right — there’s glassware on the tables, meaning friends-and-family showings are upon us. The restaurant won’t open to the public for another couple of weeks, with the courtyard following and then the eighteenth- and nineteenth-floor lounges opening in late summer or early fall. But with the High Line opening tomorrow, it’s officially time to get excited.
